Field cards

One page. Front of house.
No binder required.

Five Manager Field Cards, one per pillar of the standard. Each one gives a manager the standard, what to inspect today, the language to use on the floor, and a written daily record with an owner attached. Print them, put them at the desk, and inspect from them tomorrow morning.

The Manager Field Card kit

Take all five or take the one your Market Share Scorecard pointed you at. A standard nobody inspects is a suggestion, and a suggestion decays with every new hire — the card exists so inspection has a place to land in writing.

01

The Standard on the Floor

Rebuild the road to the sale as seven inspectable control points

Guest information sheet before vehicle selection. The Million Dollar Walkaround and a full demonstration before numbers. Interactive trade evaluation with the $500 reconditioning question. Touch the Desk on every deal.

02

Desk & Gross Control

Install the Three-Yes gate and the one-pencil standard

No numbers until all decision-makers are present, the demo is done, and the guest confirms they buy now. One pencil, presented by the salesperson, negotiated by the manager. Four required T.O. moments plus an exit T.O.

03

Follow-Up Cadence

Install the Hour 4 / Hour 24 / Hour 72 cadence

A personal text written before the guest leaves. A manager — not the salesperson — calling every unsold guest at Hour 24. A salesperson video from the lot at Hour 72. Inspected daily against yesterday's unsold list.

04

Manager Inspection

Give every manager a field card and a weekly working session

The 3-2-1 daily mission on a visible board, by name. A written daily inspection record. One weekly leadership working session off a single shared variable-ops scoreboard. A 90-day governance calendar.

05

Defend the Standard

Protect the standard before it quietly erodes

For stores already governed. Certify managers in writing. Keep the record in strong months. Publish the scoreboard by name. Audit the newest hire, not the veteran — drift shows up in the last person through the door.

Not sure which one

Score your store in four minutes

Twelve questions, four pillars, out of 36. The scorecard names your weakest pillar and hands you the card that fixes it, plus the four actions to install this week.

How to run them

The card is not homework

Managers do not fail because they lack knowledge. They fail because the inspection half of the job has no format, no time on the calendar, and no record — so it loses every argument with a busy Saturday.

  • One card per manager, printed, on their person — not saved in a folder
  • Filled in during the day, not reconstructed at 8pm
  • Every next action carries a name, never a department
  • Reviewed in the daily save-a-deal meeting, out loud, by name
  • Kept in strong months — that is the month it usually gets dropped

Print single-sided on letter. Five days of cards tells you more about your store than any monthly report.

The Standard Session

Ninety minutes, live, once a month. We walk the seven control points, the Three-Yes gate, and the manager cadence that holds both — on your numbers, no pitch deck marathon.
